My earlier work investigated what I think of as the "constructive loop" of our existence: what we construct, constructs us. As a father, husband, and homeowner, I am often aware of the life that I am both constructing, and being constructed by. These works reflect the constructive effect of the domestic environment, focusing upon themes of repetitive tasks, interior spaces, and quotidian life.

My current work builds upon this theme of construction, but turns its attention toward its historic underpinnings.
